The Nambour-Yandina United Football Club was formed in 1997 following an historic amalgamation of the Nambour Reds (founded 1974) and The Yandina Eagles (founded1976).    
During the clubs inaugral year, teams were fielded in both Sunshine Coast Soccer Federation & Sunshine Coast Churches Soccer Association competions. Since that first year all teams have competed under the Sunshine Coast Soccer Federation Banner.( Now Sunshine Coast Football) Since the time of Amalgamation there have been many successes in winning premierships at Junior ,Womens and Senior mens Level. The Club is best recognised in its abbreviated form N.Y.U and is infamous at coast venues for its verciforous support, crowds at North street regularly top 300 for senior games and all clubs enjoy playing at N.Y.U because of the atmosphere generated. The club is always looking to provide the best facilities possible for players and supporters. The recently completed grandstand is great example of the clubs forward thinking. Future projects include the lighting of a second full size pitch on the former market site, Completed in 2009.
New changing rooms in the NYU clubhouse will be completed for the 2010 season.  |
