MY TEAM: BY Matty.B Since i started liking soccer the one team that stood out for was the mighty reds, Liverpool. My fondest memory was the 2005 FA Cup final, played at MIllenium statium Cardiff Wales, as Wembley wasn't finished upgrading they played it in Wales where nearly 110000 came to watch Liverpool VS West Ham, the best moment of the match for me was when the best goal that i will ever see from steven gerrard, that goal inspired me to keep playin football after havin doubts thats year. Glad i did to end up at the 2nd best club in the world NYU!!!!!! To all NYU supporters e-mail me your views on NYU plus football in Australia and the world ! Contact NYU To submit
MY Team -By 'Guv' I was born and bred in Coventry so I could never support anyone else. My first game was the last game of 1975/76 season v Bristol city, whoever lost would be relegated. in front of 37,000 fans at Highfield Road I witnessed one of the most traumatic games I've ever seen. fortunately the final score was 2 all and Sunderland were relegated. Both sets of supporters were hugging each other and crying on the terraces. Best moment was watching Cov win the 87 cup final in extra time v Spurs. Worst moment was watching the Sky Blues get beat by non league Sutton United 2 years later. My favourite Player was Roy Wegerle as the song goes ' Who needs Cantona when we got Wegerle' .I need say no more. Biggest dissapointment is having had players such as Gary McCallister, Gordon Strachan, Dion Dublin , Craig Bellamy, Robbie Keene, John Hartson Dareen Huckerby plus many more we wern't able to prolong our 34 year stay in Englands top league. If you would like to let us know who your team is. Contact NYU To submit ( I can get pics for you)
